Supervises and undertakes the maintenance, repair and installation of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and supports the installation or commissioning and validation of all new refrigeration and air- conditioning installations. In addition provides emergency out-of- hour service for SANBS in all regions.

Manage the calibration and verification of SANBS equipment to ensure compliance with SANS17025 international standard for calibration laboratory equipment

Supervises and undertakes the maintenance, repair and installation of all units/equipment’s of SANBS and NBI refrigeration, air conditioning and refregerated centrifuges freeze driers, cooling towers and cold chain related equipment.

Manage the maintenance and calibration schedule for SANBS equipment

Maintain, install and modify cold rooms, freezer room, refrigerated machines and all other cold chain equipment

- Current valid code 8 or 10 drivers license
- Must be prepared to work overtime, weekends and variable hours within the prescribed limits and conditions.
- The incumbent will be required to be on his/her feet for a lengthy period, to carry loads of up to 14kg and assist with loading and off-loading vehicles and able to climb stairs.
